As we plan for the future of Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales, we are having conversations with our communities about what’s next. We’re exploring how to make the museum experience better and making our collections as accessible as possible. We’re looking at:
A new website for contemporary art
We’re creating a new website to share our contemporary art collection with the people of Wales, and we need your help! By filling in our questionnaire, you will help us shape this new website, and could win a prize by doing so. Paintings of people or simple sketches? We’d like to know how you think we can give a greater platform to the contemporary art in our collection. Let us know by filling in our questionnaire
National Museum Cardiff
We’re working with Rural Office for Architecture and artist led organisation Ways of Working to re-think our museum experience at National Museum Cardiff. A series of workshops will be held with community groups in our geodome from now until January 2022, on Mondays when the museum is closed. Everybody can get involved during the week by adding your thoughts to the cards outside the geodome. You could even add your own questions to the list
It is important to us that we are an organisation for our communities and that you have a say in shaping our next steps.
