Our museums are crammed full of fascinating objects and interesting projects to inspire and enjoy. Your involvement can increase the skills and knowledge base at Amgueddfa Cymru and introduce a fresh perspective to our work.
This could range from helping visitors enjoy handling objects in our famous galleries, to cataloguing specimens behind the scenes with specialist staff, or even mucking in at the beautiful historic gardens.
These are the national collections, which belong to the people of Wales, so why not join us in managing, conserving and showcasing our heritage?

Volunteering
As a volunteer, you can make an important contribution to Amgueddfa Cymru. Volunteers get involved in all sorts of projects across all eight of our Museums. Your involvement can bring a fresh perspective to our collections, helps us with learning activities or even help us build some of our historic buildings. So why not take part and get involved!
Group Volunteering
Group Volunteering is a great way to help your local community while getting your group to work as part of a team. Amgueddfa Cymru have welcomed volunteers from banks, the civil service as well as groups from local charities and clubs. These groups have helped the museum with large projects such as gardening, farm work and even help organise archival materials.
Carers
Are you one of the 400,000 adult or young carers in Wales? Or have you been a carer in the past? If so, we want to hear from you.
Youth Forums (14-25)
Are you aged 14-25? Can you help us make our museums more attractive to young people? We are looking for creativity, fresh ideas and most importantly your voice - to speak up and influence decision making at Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales.
Placements
Amgueddfa Cymru have two types of placements available - Skills Development Placements and Work Placements.
